Unexplored paths lead to
Undiscovered treasures

One of the most revered temple destinations of India, Kedarnath town is nestled in the mighty Garhwal Himalayas. The town, built around the revered Kedarnath temple, is located at an altitude of 3,580m, near the Chorabari glacier, which is the source of the Mandakini river. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the ancient temple has exquisite architecture and is built of extremely large but evenly shaped grey stone slabs. A conical rock formation inside the temple is worshipped as Lord Shiva in his “Sadashiva” form.  The Kedarnath temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is a part of the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India. Behind the Kedarnath temple, stand the Kedarnath peak, Kedar Dome and other Himalayan peaks. Keeping in mind the above facts, DREAM LUXOTTICA plan to open an aesthetic wellness retreat in the hills of the Himalayas. The resort will come up with a new hospitality concept where inspiration and privacy come as the luxury of staying close to the hidden gem of nature with an exquisite view of snow-capped mountains.

The high-altitude shrines remain shut for around six months every year, opening in summer (April or May) and closing with the onset of winter (October or November). The annual Char Dham yatra in Uttarakhand witnessed the highest-ever footfall this year with over 40 lakh people travelling to the four Himalayan shrines of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.   There are many treks and trails in the region crossing the jungle and grasslands. Chandrshilla / Tunganath & Devariyatal are the most famous trek routes in the Chopta region.   Because of the abundance of birds, Chopta is becoming popular among bird watchers. Slopes of the Chopta region are also favourable to Snow Skiing where Government is planning to start snow-related games in the coming years. Apart from adventure activities, there are a few more things to do or experience in Phata such as Star gazing, jungle hikes, Sunrise and Sunset view, Yoga and Meditation, etc. Other than these, some other popular activities in and around Maikhanda are:-
